Dalhousie University Athletic Department, one of Canada’s top post graduate institutions, has selected FAMOUSFOLKS to develop an internal marketing campaign promoting its varsity teams to the 16,000 plus students at the school.

FAMOUSFOLKS has developed the campaign, tabbed “Dal One” that reaches students, faculty and alumni through newspaper, direct mail, poster format, digital imagery as well as online viral marketing communications. In addition, FAMOUSFOLKS has strategically aided the Athletic Department in developing a launch event to promote the campaign with some of Dal’s premier partners, Molson and Adidas.

The Dal One theme is intended to spark student pride and generate togetherness through supporting athletics that some larger institutions become victims of. The Campaign began in December of 2006 and is officially launched on January 12, 2007 at the Dalhousie Men’s hockey home game.
